July 5, 2009 was a very special day in the Young family - the day Lily Grace was baptized at our church, Historic Franklin Presbyterian. Almost all of our immediate family members were able to attend, and those who could not were certainly with us in spirit.
Our pastor, Sally Hughes, performed the sacrament, and Lily Grace was fascinated with the whole process. Later, when gathering to pose after the service for a family picture, Lily Grace leaned out of Tonya's arms, put her hand in the baptismal font, and proceeded to sprinkle water on her own head! Guess a repeat never hurts. :-)

We are blessed to have the love and support of such a wonderful family and our dear friends!

Celebrate! Celebrate! Dance to the music!
Looks like a good time was had by all. Maybe Lily Grace was trying to tell Sally that she preferred a little more water on her head. Preachers, take note: a good handful will get a baby's attention better than a finger-dripping sprinkle!

Lily Grace is growing so fast and looks as happy as ever! I can't get over how similar she and Madeleine look. They could be sisters. How fun that she was able to participate in her own baptism. :) God is smiling ear to ear at her!
