It's hard to believe that the time has finally come to go to Kazakhstan and bring a little one into our family. Going from being a "2" to a "3" still seems amazing and miraculous to us (not to mention exciting and terrifying), and we feel so blessed and fortunate to be on this journey.
We've marked the occasion with our last Mexican meal for quite some time, and after three days solid of packing, think we're ready!
We appreciate all of your well-wishes, notes and gifts - and most importantly, your love and your prayers. We know we're not taking this journey alone, and we look forward to sharing this story with you, page by page.
Our posts will now come more frequently, and we appreciate your comments, as it helps us stay connected to all of you. So, bye for now, and next time you hear from us, we'll be typing with a Russian accent!

Hi, Steve and Tonya,
We are overjoyed for you and for our little granddaughter who is about to begin a new life with her loving parents-to-be. Our love and prayers are with you.

Travel safe and try and have fun while you're mangling the Russian language! Y'all are in my prayers. Love, Jill
We are so very excited that the time has finally arrived for you to meet our precious little Lily Grace and bring her home. I have waited a very very long time to become a grandma, and believe me I am going to thoroughly enjoy it!!! I chuckled when I saw your pages with lists of things to pack - WOW! You are both to be congratulated for hanging in there - she is a very fortunate baby to be wanted so much!
Love you dearly,
Grandma Dee
Good luck and congrats! Looking forward to future posts and photos!!!
You guys are in our prayers, all 3 of you!
I just wanted to drop a quick note and say, if you guys run into any issues with you paperwork in court, please let us know. We had that happen to us and had to get one thing redone, notarized, apostilled, scanned in color and emailed to us. It was not fun. Andrea and I are well versed in the notarization/apostil process and can get it done very quickly. We are here to help in anyway if you need us! Please DO NOT hesitate to ask! And yes, you can call us at 3am if needed!
I don't want to post our phone numbers on your blog, but if you have access to your work email, I can send them there. Just let me know!
Ps- we actually ate at a Mexican restaurant in the middle of Siberia. Needless to say, it was a HUGE letdown… :)
Look forward to the updates!
